My name is Andy Morse and I am a Laser Level 3 Helen-Arkell-trained tutor specialising in assisting students who have Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, Neurodiversity, School Anxiety or School Refusal. I live and work in Lower Bourne, Farnham. I am married with three sons.
I have been tutoring local children, teenagers and adults in numeracy, literacy, memory and other selected syllabus topics on a part-time basis, since 2010, and have also had assistant teaching experience in South Farnham & Beacon Hill School. I have a stationery retail business and am ECB Level 2 & Schools Cricket coach.
As someone who has experienced depression, anxiety and bullying, I've developed teaching methods and resources designed to be fun and engaging to anyone experiencing similar. My approach is quite different from traditional school education. I believe in adults and children working side by side. Listening and learning from each other. Acknowledging the mistakes that we make. Celebrating the successes.
This website has been built by many different Big School students. We hope you enjoy it. If you're interested to see what some of my older students and the mentoring friends of Big School are up to these days then click here.
I have availability for one-to-one tutoring sessions (English Literature & Language from Primary hrough Uni) and I also offer conversation sessions for parents looking for practical tips on how to support their child or teenager, or who would like help in interpreting an assessment for any Neuro Diverse condition. You can find details and book here. All meet-ups and tutoring sessions are held at the Coffee Can On The Green in Farnham, Surrey or on Zoom.
Best wishes, Andy
