Welcome to Big School

Life is Big School. We are learning every day.
Learning life skills from each other, sharing with each other.
Learning in a way that promotes optimism, self-esteem & retention.

My name is Andy Morse and I am a Laser Level 3 Helen-Arkell-trained tutor specialising in assisting students who have Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD or School Anxiety. I live in Lower Bourne, Farnham.

I have been tutoring local children, teenagers and adults in numeracy, literacy, memory and other selected syllabus topics on a part-time basis, since 2014, and have also had assistant teaching experience in South Farnham & Beacon Hill School. I have a stationery retail business and am ECB Level 2 & Schools Cricket coach.

As someone who has experienced depression, anxiety and PTSD, I've developed teaching methods and resources designed to be fun and engaging to anyone experiencing similar. My approach is quite different from traditional school education. I believe in adults and children working side by side. Learning from the mistakes that we make. Celebrating the successes together.

This website has been built by many different Big School students. We hope you enjoy it. If you're interested to see what some of the older students are up to these days then click here.

I am not taking on new weekly students at the moment but I am offering chat sessions for parents looking for ideas on how best to support their child. Or who would like help in interpreting an assessment for Dyslexia or Dyspraxia. There is also an option for students to have a one-off tutoring session with me. You can find details and book online here. All sessions are either socially distanced or on Zoom.

@2017 - created by Andy Morse for Big School

'Welcome to Big School' is an Alan Partridge trademark comment

from the 2013 hit film 'Alpha Papa' and completely appropriate

to the content and context of this website - i.e. life is big school.
